My favorite Amazon home and garden deals on Amazon

This post is in partnership with @amazoninfluencerprogram and @amazonhome. All thoughts and words are my own.

Disclosure: If you shop from my article or make a purchase through one of my links, I may receive commissions on some of the products I recommend.

If you didn’t make the most of Amazon Prime Days in July, you’re in luck. Amazon just announced a second set of Amazon Prime Days on October 11 and October 12, 2022, and it’s good. Really good.

The official name of this 48-hour sale event is the Amazon Prime Early Access Sale, and it’s a massive holiday shopping kickoff that’s exclusive to Prime members.

Pssst… If you aren’t a Prime member yet, you can sign up for a 30-day free trial here. Becoming a member gives you access to Prime deals and fast free shipping, as well as Amazon Music, Amazon Photos, Prime Video, Prime Wardrobe, and a year of free GrubHub+ delivery, among other benefits (all of which I personally use and love).

How to find the best Amazon home and garden deals

Even though the sale officially begins on October 11, you can start shopping thousands of early access deals at this link here. Then on October 11 and October 12, return to that page and you’ll be able to see live deals released by Amazon throughout the day.

I am personally bookmarking the Tools & Home Improvement gift guide and Home & Kitchen gift guide to see what kind of deals (and Lightning Deals) happen during the Prime Early Access Sale.

Here are some my favorite home and garden deals right now:

What’s the difference between Amazon Prime Days, Amazon Prime Early Access Sale, and Black Friday?

I know, so many sales. Amazon Prime Days used to be an annual event that happened in the summer. For the first time ever, the retailer decided to host a second big sale (dubbed the Amazon Prime Early Access Sale) to help people get a head start on holiday shopping. (I mean, why not? My local stores already have Christmas wreaths and string lights sharing aisle space with Halloween decorations!)

Unlike Black Friday, which is a sale event open to everybody, Prime Days and Prime Early Access Sale is only available to Prime members. If you’re not a member, you won’t see the special markdowns.

You can sign up for a free 30-day trial of Amazon Prime here, or if you’re a student with an .edu email address, you can sign up for a free 6-month trial of Prime Student (which renews after the trial at half the price of a regular membership).

Another program that many people are not aware of is that Amazon offers half-price Prime memberships to those who receive SNAP, Medicaid, or other government assistance. You can start your free 30-day Prime Access trial here, then take advantage of all the same Prime perks at a steep discount.

  1. OMG! I need a sturdy greenhouse! I live in the high desert and we get some very strong winds all year round. I have my eye on the Palram 6×8 Hybrid Hobby Greenhouse in forest green. It would make my world so much easier.
    Thank you for this opportunity!

  2. I would love to get a Gorilla Cart 600-Pound Quick Dump Wheelbarrow. Thanks for sharing your easy tomato sauce recipe!

  3. Wow! If I won I would love to buy so many gardening items. The Rain Bird Drip Irrigation Kit for starters, the liquid fence, hand pruners, electric leaf mulch, etc. And maybe an air fryer! Thank you for opportunity to enter this drawing!

  4. Thank you so much for this opportunity! How exciting. There is so much I could spend that $500 on if I was to be selected. I have been an Amazon Prime member for years now and shop Amazon.com for most of my online shopping. My granddaughter is turning 12 next month and she has been helping me with my garden. She wants to start her own little garden at home so I think I would get her a raised bed kit with some seeds and a trellis for her birthday. She would LOVE that!

  5. Love following your blogs! Can’t wait to catch up on your move back to town! Any way, there is soooo much I want but I think I would start with the Gorilla Cart! That would be so helpful for my small little 1 acre lot.

  6. I love following your blogs. I am an Avid Amazon shopper and shop almost exclusively through Amazon because I am handicapped and it is very difficult to get around. If I won the $500 gift card I would put it towards some raised garden beds so it is easier on me for gardening. Pick me!!!!! (I know it’s random, and you probably use one of those random spinner type programs to select so it really doesn’t have any thing to do with what we say here but I am still sayin’ it: PICK ME! LOL.

  7. Love your content whether it be helping this beginner at gardening or what to prune in my yard with the changing seasons. I would definitely use the gift card for kiddos christmas gifts!

Thank you for being you ❤️

  8. I would love to buy your new book and upgrade my garden beds to a raised galvanized steel bed so I don’t to bend over anymore!

  9. If I won I would get the Gorilla Wheelbarrow, the Nisaku Digging Knife, and the Rainbird Drip Irrigation. These would definitely make my gardening needs complete. Thanks!

  10. I’m so glad I found gardenbetty! Your posts and emails have given us invaluable help with planning and executing our garden ideas. Now that we’ve moved into a new house, I’m excited to see what’s next. If I won… for sure the blower and mulcher. And the speaker. And holy moly I need that Gorilla cart!

  11. With a gift card, for my kids to help me in the garden, I would purchase two wheelbarrows they can maneuver, gloves that fit them, rakes and shovels of lengths that they can use. I would also purchase a Hori garden knife for myself. I’ve seen a friend use it and it seems like a great multi-tool. If there is enough $ left I would by a small outdoor storage shed to store all the “little tools” in.

  12. Wow miss Garden Betty ! What an awesome idea! Thank you for such an opportunity . Well, if I am a lucky winner, for me it would be the Rainbird Drip Irrigation kit(s) and the vintage wood and glass propagation vases. Fun!

  13. I need the Eufy RoboVac —- maybe that will be my Christmas wish this year! Following both on IG. Thanks for the chance to win!

  14. There’s souch I want that I can’t even decide! Definitely the blower, irrigation kit and gorilla cart. I’m a brand new home owner and have had the gardening bug for many years but unfortunately I’ve always lived in apartments. Now, with a new house, there’s so much I need!
Good luck to everyone! And thank you!

  15. How fun! Love your posts they have been so helpful.
If I won, it would be the irrigation kit, leaf blower, and some kind of row cover or greenhouse cover situation to extend my growing season even more (I’m in 7b already ).

  16. Like many others have replied I would buy raised beds for my veggies. We will be moving soon and the raised beds I built 16 years ago will stay with this home. Of course our wonderful orchard will stay also. About 95% of the homes for sale that we have toured have no veggie garden or fruit trees. Nothing! So we will be starting from scratch again. A gift card will go to good use after our move.

  17. I think I would buy a small composter like the Lomi Composter. I have so many kitchen scraps that just go into the garbage because we are renting and don’t have anywhere to really compost in a traditional manner. My container garden loves compost though!

  18. If I were to win, I would order the Stonehomy Vertical Raised Garden Bed with Wheels. I have been introducing my Grandchildren to gardening in my home made extra high raised beds. They have been asking to plant strawberries, but I don’t have room for them in the raised beds, and I an unable to get down to work in ground level beds. I think a vertical raised bed would be prefect, the kids can reach the lower levels for their strawberries and I could use the top level for herbs.

  19. With my $500 gift card winnings, I would first buy some grow lamps for my indoor plants, bird rain irrigation kit, ceramic and wood plant pot, pyrex glass storage and some Christmas gifts for the family ❤️

  20. Hi, Linda! I follow the garden you here and the other great you on Twitter! 🙂 I’ve been on Amazon all day and almost forgot to come back to comment. If I were to win $500, I’d want to get either a Worm Farm Compost Bin (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01CRJGUOG) or a Magic Mill Food Dehydrator (https://www.amazon.com/Magic-Mill-Commercial-Dehydrator-Accessorizes/dp/B076HFCW4R). Or put it toward a new shed with a roof pitched to hold a few solar panels with my little camping generator inside so I could charge it during the day and use it at night. Or maybe hire somebody to put in a simple greywater system so I can use my washing machine water to water my garden…. Or buy some Asian pear trees and kumquats…. Okay, I’ll quit dreaming!

Thanks, by the way, for letting us know about the Amazon Prime discount for eligible low-income folks. I never knew about that!

  21. First off, thank you SO much for this opportunity! Love your content! In regards to the gift card, I’d kick start two garden areas I have a vision for by loading up on supplies (wood treatments, hardware, soil amendments and enhancers, irrigation).

  22. I’d get the leaf mulcher, the wheelbarrow, the weeding and digging knife, the garden tool set, the collapsable bag…

  23. I’d love to get the WORX electric leaf mulcher. Best ingredient to build my soil for next year. Thanks for the opportunity. Your page rocks! I got hooked from the first post I read of yours – pickling radish pods!

  24. The EGO Power+ Cordless Leaf Blower is at the top of my list! So many great things here. I’ve also got my eye on the Felco Ergonomic Hand Pruners, because it’s time to invest in a really functional pair.

  25. We are in the process of relocating from LA to Napa to a very rural property in a high fire zone. I would purchase everything on your list!!! We need it all!

  26. Hi Linda, I enjoy reading all your gardening tips out West, I’m Zone 7b, so any suggestions is awesome! If I win the sweepstakes I would purchase an irrigation kit and fruit trees. Thank you for sharing your gardening knowledge.

  27. Hi Linda!
Thank you for another helpful blog! Much needed for a beginner gardener here! Would love to get started on a little garden on the side of the house perhaps with raised garden beds from Amazon maybe indoor grow lights to help little seedlings too! Everything’s so expensive now, so it would be much appreciated! ☺️

  28. So many great ideas. I put several on my list for later. But I have to go with the leaf blower. Hope it also works on light snow as will be moving to the Bend area next month.

  29. Hi!
I would love, and greatly need, the irrigation system! Getting too hard to carry buckets all over the yard! Thanks a bunch!!

  30. Hi Linda, I’ve been following your site for a few years now. I would like the Rain Byrd irrigation system. I have several garden areas around my property including a humble veggie garden. Watering them all including my hanging baskets take at least an hour or more. I would be thrilled to win this system but even if I don’t I’ll still be reading your site and ordering things you recommend from Amazon.

  31. Hi! If I win, I’d love to buy a garden compost bin and the materials needed to set up raised beds this fall!

  32. I did not know about the tile tracker. I could really use that for my keys. I have to agree about the leaf mulcher by worx. It is wonderful. I use the tons of leaves I get as mulch for my beds. I too would use the gift card for Christmas. Just started buying gifts.

  33. Putting together a new veggie bed close to the house for easier access. So fencing, gorilla cart, and just about everything else you have recommended. Thanks for this opportunity and for all your shared gardening knowledge.
