My favorite Amazon home and garden deals on Amazon

This post is in partnership with @amazoninfluencerprogram and @amazonhome. All thoughts and words are my own.

Disclosure: If you shop from my article or make a purchase through one of my links, I may receive commissions on some of the products I recommend.

If you didn’t make the most of Amazon Prime Days in July, you’re in luck. Amazon just announced a second set of Amazon Prime Days on October 11 and October 12, 2022, and it’s good. Really good.

The official name of this 48-hour sale event is the Amazon Prime Early Access Sale, and it’s a massive holiday shopping kickoff that’s exclusive to Prime members.

Pssst… If you aren’t a Prime member yet, you can sign up for a 30-day free trial here. Becoming a member gives you access to Prime deals and fast free shipping, as well as Amazon Music, Amazon Photos, Prime Video, Prime Wardrobe, and a year of free GrubHub+ delivery, among other benefits (all of which I personally use and love).

How to find the best Amazon home and garden deals

Even though the sale officially begins on October 11, you can start shopping thousands of early access deals at this link here. Then on October 11 and October 12, return to that page and you’ll be able to see live deals released by Amazon throughout the day.

I am personally bookmarking the Tools & Home Improvement gift guide and Home & Kitchen gift guide to see what kind of deals (and Lightning Deals) happen during the Prime Early Access Sale.

Here are some my favorite home and garden deals right now:

What’s the difference between Amazon Prime Days, Amazon Prime Early Access Sale, and Black Friday?

I know, so many sales. Amazon Prime Days used to be an annual event that happened in the summer. For the first time ever, the retailer decided to host a second big sale (dubbed the Amazon Prime Early Access Sale) to help people get a head start on holiday shopping. (I mean, why not? My local stores already have Christmas wreaths and string lights sharing aisle space with Halloween decorations!)

Unlike Black Friday, which is a sale event open to everybody, Prime Days and Prime Early Access Sale is only available to Prime members. If you’re not a member, you won’t see the special markdowns.

You can sign up for a free 30-day trial of Amazon Prime here, or if you’re a student with an .edu email address, you can sign up for a free 6-month trial of Prime Student (which renews after the trial at half the price of a regular membership).

Another program that many people are not aware of is that Amazon offers half-price Prime memberships to those who receive SNAP, Medicaid, or other government assistance. You can start your free 30-day Prime Access trial here, then take advantage of all the same Prime perks at a steep discount.

  1. I would probably indulge in some good gardening hand tools (Fiskar), get a proper mushroom knife, and invest in a few goodies to fix up my veggies cleaning station!

  2. Sharing this with my mom! We both love gardening, but I have a couple of bones to pick with the person who coined the phrase “dirt cheap” (bc as any home gardener knows, dirt is most certainly NOT cheap!!)
With this gift card, I could finally get all the home gardening goods I need to keep my babies alive – goodness knows I could use some new bigger pots (and dirt, which is not cheap) to repot my quickly growing aloes, and maybe I could even afford to take care of those pesky indoor plant pests that have been plaguing me on and off for the past year for good! Might even be able to buy mom a new plant rack for her own home garden 🙂

  3. I would purchase some household items like laundry detergent, toilet paper, and soap. Then I would splurge and buy an Apple Watch! ⌚️ Thanks for the chance to win!!!

  4. I’d love to get some clothes for my kids! And a nice pair of shoes for myself! After that’d I’d probably use the rest on household supplies! Thanks for the chance!!

  5. For a start I’d love to buy the Gorilla Carts Quick Dump Utility Wheelbarrow! I’d use to carry the hoops and materials I’d buy to make mini greenhouses out of my raised beds.
Thank you for your inspiration and gardening insight!

  6. I would love to purchase the gorilla cart ,Ego leaf blower and the rivet surrey modern ceramic. Enjoy your blog very much!

  7. I would love to purchase the Leaf Shredder that you recommended on Amazon if I were to winner the $500 giveaway! Thank you for all of the great information that you pass on to us! I look forward to reading your post every time it comes in!

  8. HOPES and DREAMS
    DREAMS and HOPS
    Little bud bustling with energy
Waiting for the right ray of sunshine to dance on down
Waiting for the rain to wiggle its way down, to nourish the roots
Put its power to the test
Each petal yawning and stretching out with fresh eyes
Awing the exquisite magnificence of the world
    HOPES and DREAMS
    DREAMS and HOPES
    Becoming my REALITY
As my fish and iridescent shark have the needed filters, food, and friends
Brain pulsing with knowledge to put to the test
Seeing the LIFE I can GROW with raised garden beds, worms, composting bins, seeds, soil, fertilizers and much more
To see how LIFE can be cultivated with love and a caring home
To show the wonderful healing and imperfections that nature gives
That perfection is unneeded in a world of imperfection
    That HOPES and DREAMS…
    Can become REALITY

  9. My other post hasn’t posted, so maybe it was too much. Is it possible to buy a younger new body? My 70-year-old one is slowing down a little. Still hauling logs and planting a food forest garden, though.

  10. Hi Linda!

I love your blog and all your work. I’m happy you can do what you do and share with us all!! Thanks for this chance to win. I’d for sure invest in beautiful books about gardening and the environment for my kids. We spend a lot of time outside, and I like to reinforce our love of the outdoors with good books and beautiful pictures but I hardly ever pull the trigger on buying as many as I’d like.

Cheers, and thanks again for all your hard work!

  11. Wow, where to start!??! With my bride of 25 years, where else? She is always propagating all kinds of stuff and has the greenest thumb I know, so the XXXFlower thingy would be a treat/help for her. Then, the Eufy vacuum would lighten her load around the house and Riley the puppy would get a kick out of it too! Luckily, we’re not at the Tile Sticker stage (losing stuff) yet, but that time is coming!! Her Pyrex collection is about wore out, so that would be a blessing for her, and my lunch pail for daily left-overs of her good cookin’! Haven’t added it all up, but if there is enough left over, I sure could use that Gorilla cart because I have a lot of trouble emptying my Lifetime mulcher into a standard wheel barrow. I think that Gorilla would slide right underneath that thing and it would dump right in! Have a great Fall y’all and Linda, we sure do enjoy and appreciate your efforts!

  12. If I would win, I would definitely buy an electric leaf mulcher. I had no idea such wonders existed, but now I’m convinced! Unfortunately, I am not on Instagram to follow you. Can I still enter? Thank you for the opportunity!

  13. Hi Linda! I love your content and you give me such helpful advice on growing and taking care of plants. I’d love to win the $500 gift card to buy the necessary items I need to teach my babies how to garden and let them watch the seeds sprout and grow into something beautiful. It would be amazing to be able to have the resources I need to show them how to be self sustaining and know that growing your own vegetables is possible and an awesome experience. I’d buy seeds, soil and many other items to help our little garden and hearts thrive.

  14. Hello Linda! I love your blog! It would be wonderful and such a blessing to win your very generous Amazon gift card! If I won, I’d love to buy the Rain Bird Drip Irrigation Kit and the Vintage Style Wood and Glass Propagation Vases!

  15. Definitely the leaf shredder and the Hori knife.
Been following you for about 2 yrs now.
    Keep up the great work.

  16. Gracious Garden Betty with your sage & thorough words of advice!!! I’ve been following you for some time, and my garden has been thriving because of it! Your article about cooking with the traditionally discarded parts of vegetables has got me shook in all the right ways. I love the idea of changing the way we cook and minimizing waste for the better!

I would definitely get that WORX Leaf Mulcher you recommend if I were to win this gift card from Amazon! Would be a life changer!

Thank you so & cannot wait to see more from you!

  17. Hi Linda! Long time fan here! Totally have enjoyed your books and gardening advice. I’m living in the PNW now and have an ENORMOUS maple tree in my yard. While I love this tree, come this time of year the leaves are insane! (And I’m not getting any younger… turning 65 next month!)The Worx electric leaf mulcher would be a godsend for me. Pick me please!!

  18. Greetings Linda, Add grapes to the list of fruit that deer like. I lost most of my grape harvest to them, so I could definitely use some Liquid Fence Deer and Rabbit Repellent.I also have several trees, so a Worx Electric Leaf Mulcher would be a big help. Thanks for the offer and Happy Fall!

  19. Wow so many choices!! As a master gardener I really could use a number
Of the rain bird drip systems. Thanks for your offer

  20. I’m not sure what I’d buy. There are so many items on my wish list. But I’d probably use it toward Christmas shopping for friends and family.

  21. Love it! I would buy the EGO Power+ Cordless Leaf Blower for myself and order some Christmas gifts. I want to gift my brother a Lifestraw bag for camping and one of your camping cookbooks. They recently moved to West Virginia and love exploring the area.

  22. Hello Linda! ‘ Thank you for all of your insightful posts. I’ve been sharing with friends and family your blog and telling them how interesting and relevant it is. Your timing is especially perfect when you create them ! Your blog is helpful and I appreciate the detail and suggestions for gardening. It’s helped my gardening skills and quality of our family garden immensely! Thank you…. If I won the gift card, a new wheelbarrow would be wonderful as well as a tiller, and some trellises for our peas and beans . Also some seeds for our butterfly and pollinator wildflower garden.

  23. Thank you for this opportunity. With a gift card, I would buy a winch for my side-by-side to do the heavy lifting for me. By lifting, I mean dragging, pulling, moving, and other things my aging back can’t handle anymore.

    Take care!
    Robin

  24. OMG! I have to pick just one item!? There are several on here I’d love to own! The one I think I would get the most use out of is the Gorilla cart. Also have my eye on that WORX leaf mulcher. Not to mention the Ninja pressure cooker too!

Thanks for your garden blog. I am learning so much reading them as soon as I see them in my Inbox.

    Blessings to you.

  25. I definitely need the tile trackers. I’m always loosing things! The hori hori knife would be pretty great too.
