I know you’re of course still sad about Gisele but I wonder if you have thought about getting a new chook? Just because I know when I only had two and one of them died the other was inconsolable – I had to spend a couple of days full on with her in the garden because I was top “chicken”. LOVE back roads California. Actually, love back roads anywhere, but living in SoCal, back roads seemed pretty few. Will you share what road this was? One year on trip with my folks from LA to Yosemite, we went west to Fillmore, Santa Paula, and up to Taft! Taft is oil town with oil pipelines on top of the ground. Really odd spot. We still kid about the detour to the wild and wooly town of Taft. Great root beer though :)! Happy New Year!
From Salinas, we took River Road to a few random little roads to Jolon Road, and finally to the 101. It was beautiful. Plan to do it again in the spring when the hills are (hopefully) green!
