Five Things Friday

About the Author page

The five little things that made my week…

1. My mug on an “About the Author” page. This makes me smile because my parents never understood what a blog was, why anyone would read a blog, and what it means when I say I’m a blogger. (Plus, they just think it’s a funny word to begin with.) But I think they’ll take author!

Acknowledgments page

2. It takes a village to create a book, and my acknowledgments page proves that. Besides the dozens of incredible people who had their hands in editing, proofing, designing, photographing, managing, marketing, press checking, printing, stocking, and shipping The CSA Cookbook, I especially want to give a shout-out to the team of recipe testers who cooked their way through the first drafts of my recipes. Every recipe is tried and true by people like you, whether you’re just learning to cook or you’ve been doing it for decades.

Homegrown pineapple

3. I grew a pineapple!?

Romanesco broccoli

4. The most perfect Fibonacci ever.

Nasturtiums

5. I have nasturtiums growing “wild” all over my yard this winter. Can you say nasturtium pesto and poor man’s capers?
