About the Book

Good food makes for great camping! And if you’re one to love the idea of living adventurously and eating well outside, you’ll want The New Camp Cookbook as your go-to guide for cooking like a pro in the great outdoors.

Named Amazon’s “Best Cookbook of the Month,” Indigo’s “Best Book of the Month,” and PureWow’s “Best Book of the Year,” The New Camp Cookbook has enthralled campers, road trippers, and adventurers since it was first released.

It takes you beyond the standard campfire fare of hot dogs and canned beans into gourmet grub that your friends won’t believe you made in the wild. (Just don’t tell them how easy it actually was, even with your limited arsenal of kitchen tools.)

The book covers all that goes into preparing for a car camping or RV camping trip, from stocking a non-perishable pantry to packing a cooler the right away. It features a variety of recipes for cooking on a camp stove, cast-iron pan, dutch oven, foil packs, and grill, as well as tips for putting together a satisfying meal when you’re on the go or pulling in late to camp.

If you’re dreaming of all the places you’ll go this summer (or fall, or any time of year), make sure to pack a copy of The New Camp Cookbook and be the envy of other campers.

Real ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Reviews from Amazon

“Hands down the best book I’ve read on outdoor cooking!! Good all around techniques and great recipes to take your camping experience to the next level. We have been camping and cooking for over 15 years and mainly have done the basics plus some experimenting with Dutch oven. This book made us rethink how to make great food even while camping. Easy to follow and contains lists of what ingredients to pack and what supplies to collect and bring for what you want to do. Contains recipes for breakfast, lunch, supper as well as snacks!”

“I can’t rave enough about this cookbook! We purchased a pop up camper and are newbies to camping for the most part. Loved her information on setting up the camp kitchen, cooking in bear country, beginner advice on cast iron camp cooking etc. Information was there but brief and inclusive of what you need. The book visually is beautiful and well organized. She has “use it up” tips on ingredients which is helpful. The recipes themselves seem very doable and not so “gourmet” that everyone wouldn’t like them. We aren’t meat eaters and there were many veg recipes in the book (or ones easy to modify).”

“There are so many cookbooks out there, but this one is so practical because they put a lot of thought into what’s actually feasible while camping. I appreciate the simplicity of the recipes, while putting interesting spins and complex flavors to them. The pizza with grapes and fontina cheese is something I never would have tried otherwise, and it’s now one of my favorite things to make… and of course eat! I also love that there were a lot of vegetarian options. There’s a page on ideas for various non-traditional smores, and that’s quite possibly the best page of the book to try out around the fire on a Friday night!”

Lauren

“Full of recipes for sauces and condiments that I’d heard of but never seen anywhere. There are also fantastic side dishes, the Mexican Street Corn Salad has become the most requested recipe I’ve ever made for parties and family gatherings. And the Chai Tea Concentrate is always in my fridge now. Get your copy soon, this is an excellent cookbook.”
